You have to suspend some disbelief, and a lot of this relies on the rule of cool, but I was on board the whole way, and I yo yo'd between excitement and dread, so mission accomplished. I had been waiting around to read this comic for months now but wanted to binge it and omg its so worth it, like it doesn't disappoint one bit, right from the get go showing how cosmic the threat is of the unliving Darkseid more like Deadseid and then infecting the new gods and how they are spreading death across the universe and how the heroes and GLC have to band together to save it, and what they do to Warworld, Korugar and other planets is just insane but makes for great cliff hangers if you were following it in single issues. Plus so many other great cameos and moments I don't wanna spoil but the one with Alfred was maybe the best and my god I was screaming when that happened and it made sense considering what he went through and it will make you drop the comic in surprise and then pick it back up again and read .

During the battle with the Anti-living, Scott and Barda finally learn their son’s fate as another mindless assailant. As always with Tom Taylor, the writing is solid and there is real emotional weight to everything done here, there's conflict, hesitation and really believable acts of compassion. Tom Taylor made sure to recognize this isn’t where the story of DCeased: War Of The Undead Gods needed to end. Probably none more unexpected of intriguing than when Alfred Pennyworth–of all characters across the DC universe, ALFRED PENNYWORTH–bonds with The Spectre!Part of me feels it under cuts the significance of the Anti-Life equation virus, especially because Erebos doesn't really do anything but exist. Once again, Taylor is really clever with some of the twists and plot-points, like the way that the virus ultimately goes universal. But I don’t care… they aren’t drawing a light-hearted She-Hulk book; they’re drawing a series about zombies blowing up planets and slashing people into pieces. It seemed like Kara got a raw deal and didn't have much agency, she makes more of a cameo in the beginning and then is immediately turned and made Darseid's henchmen. Far too often Taylor forgot about Cassie in this story as she was relegated mostly to being one of the heavy hitters but nothing more, especially compared to the development Damian and Jon got.

Soranik recovered, but Supergirl was attacking Sinestro long enough for Darkseid to grab him and easily kill him. Well known for his work with DC Comics and Marvel, Taylor is the co-creator of NEVERLANDERS from Penguin Random House, SEVEN SECRETS from Boom Studios and the Aurealis-Award-winning graphic novel series THE DEEP. It was then that Superman told him that they were going to reach every ally to aid them in their battle. It was then a horde of infected Thanagarians began attacking the populace, including those in the bar, killing the bartender and angering Lobo enough to engage them. I can't say much without giving away the outcome, but while this time around the heroes have the cure to the Anti-Life equation, they still have to face down the gods of New Genesis and the rest of the godlike powerhouses that the virus has taken over. This time, even though the survivors on the New-Earth have found a cure, the virus has now gone beyond Earth and is spreading throughout the universe, infecting beings that prove to be bigger threats than they've ever faced. Godly beings like Death, Ares, and The Spectre are equally powerless to stop it, and grant any final bargains. More Spectre/Alfred is always a great thing, and the creative team of Tom Taylor, Trevor Hairsine, Andy Lanning, and Rain Beredo welcome Lucas Meyer as they do wonders with putting the universe in danger.
