I will not be printing a lot but would like excellent photo quality printing and longevity for pictures printed and display in frames.
I was intrigued last year with Epson’s announcement of the EcoTank Photo ET-8500 and ET-8550, the latest iteration of their “supertank,” high-capacity inkjet printers. All that said, the ET-8500 will give you excellent prints, that, when preserved with simple storage techniques, can last decades. software installation was done on a Win10 laptop, a Apple iphoneXS, and standard Dell 8xxx Win10 desktop PC = all worked either wired via usb-printer cable or wirelessly. very easy to set up, it doesn't go quickly but the software driver and epson application installation are very thorough. In addition, the app also makes for easier and more intuitive printer set up, troubleshooting, access to instructional videos and maintenance checks.
