In fact, I can recommend all three Al Yuqawams in the series; I'm not sure if "flanker" is the right term for Ambergris Showers and Tobacco Blaze, because "flanker" to me has connotations of being a second-rate copy of the original. I guess the smell is suede more than a hard polished leather, and so Luqawam pour Homme has a very bold leathery but suede aroma as opposed to the very light suede leather fragrances on the market (Suedois, Cuiron). Privee Couture Collection Tuscan Leather is a Chypre blend of notes brings a raw, yet reserved sensuality to this original take on a classic leather scent. If you like Dior's new forgettable "Sauvage", or any of the young men's clones which have you smelling of pineapple and peaches, this is definitely not for you. The bottle has a great, secure wooden top which resembles TF but not a direct copy and the bottle has a great, niche look about it.

Not sure I'd repurchase, because I already see myself getting tired of it, but I'll definitely use it all up - have to be in the right mood for this one. Its nice smelling and performs ok for a limited time but then stays around 6-8 hours max as a skin scent only. Whereby - sometimes something raspberryy comes through, but as if it had been candied - but this raspberry is very reserved.It opens with a strong rasberry and leather scent ( can be too much at this stage) that drysdown into a slightly sweeter and soft suede version of TL. It seems to project fairly well, I've had some compliments from this and I would recommend this any day of the week.
