Description

Now, the sound could be described as being thick, warm, bassy, dynamic, punchy, smooth and pretty hard-hitting. They mention that the bass pops and thumps without distortion, it's built very well and that it has perfect play quality.

The speaker weighs a whopping 13 lbs, which is honestly less than what we would have guessed by its 7. The imaging is good to the point where sounds can be heard floating around (not just from) the Aiwa Exos 9. I could describe the speaker as being exactly made for a party, where you want something that really makes you jump and dance, but isn’t exactly the most analytic or neutral, but rather fun and musical. Once you have un-boxed the speaker you are good to go, it pairs with any Bluetooth device effortlessly! The site and services are provided "as is" with no warranty or representations by JustAnswer regarding the qualifications of Experts. It should be noted that I have absolutely no affiliation with AIWA, I am not receiving any incentive for this review or to sweeten things out. This would definitely improve the sound of the Aiwa Exos 9 without needing to add your own mid-side processing via the use of DSP. This port will accept headphones, digital audio players (DAP), laptops and anything that uses a mini plug for audio.

However, if you're looking for a more modern speaker with features like AirPlay, Google Cast, voice assistants and Spotify built, you'll have to look somewhere else - the Aiwa Exos-9 is the modern equivalent of an old-school boombox. AIWA EXOS 9 vs Edifier E25 Luna – Edifier has made an interesting small stereo speaker setup for just 200 USD with their Edifier Luna, but it isn’t exactly the most well-sounding setup, and for 200 USD, Yamaha Music Cast already provided a better sound, but it came to me to ask what the difference in sonics would be between the 200 USD Luna, and the 300 USD EXOS 9, and well, if you thought that having Stereo would be worth it, I think that isn’t the case at all. Come join the discussion about racing, builds, pro mods, hot rods, events, turbos, nitrous, superchargers, and more! Other features include Bluetooth connectivity (A2DP/NFC/aptX/AAC/SBC), TWS pairing (wirelessly link two Exos-9 speakers in dual stereo or stereo separated configuration), 3. Moving it to the backyard is easy but if the speaker needs to be carried over a longer distance, the handle’s design may cause you to have to grip tighter, putting undo strain on hand muscles.

I do enjoy the Exos 9’s EQ capabilities, which let you adjust the sound signature using both presets or manually, letting you get the sound closer to your personal preferences. There is enough bass texture to go by, without feeling like the bass is too fast, and in fact, it has a natural overall decay, without too much hassle. Aiwa used to be a very popular brand name in Europe back in the 90's but it's also a name i hadn't heard of in almost a decade so when we learned about their award winning Exos-9 Portable Bluetooth Speaker (AIWA-9001) we had to take a look for ourselves. These gaskets are also removable to get access to the mounting screws of the three drivers, but they, like the grille, are a PITA to put back on.
