When mixing you have a choice of adding either reverb or chorus/delay to each track as well as setting the panning, EQ and volume, plus a mastering effect can be added as you mix your song down to a spare pair of virtual tracks. I was close before with DAWs, but had always used dedicated USB audio interfaces without vocal/guitar amp modelling, I’d messed about with DAW effects plugins but quickly found out that latency reared it’s ugly head the more effects you applied to the monitor send. The BR-800s powerful onboard effects processor includes GT-10/10B effects, VE-20 vocal effects and harmonies, and COSM-based acoustic guitar body modelling. I'm not enjoying the sound quality on the BR800 at all - you really notice if you convert a good quality wav recording to mt2 to put on to the BR800 as a backing track - simply ruins it sounds like compressed mush.

It even has a built-in stereo mic so you can get ideas down quickly without any loss of inspiration. Andertons Music Company acts as a credit broker and not a lender and only offers credit products from Secure Trust Bank PLC trading as V12 Retail Finance.

When using it in standard multitrack mode, it saves your recordings in it's own proprietary format, that is "HiFi (MT2) Roland/BOSS original format". You can power the BR-800 from the included AC adaptor, or, for ultimate mobility, it can be powered from six AA batteries. Guitar Guitar Limited trading as guitarguitar acts as a credit broker not a lender and is Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, firm registration number 742103. Took the SD card out and plugged it into my desktop, checked the properties, and even that had a bit rate of 2116kbps.

In my case, the effects and rhythm features are overkill, as I prefer to record dry and play the recordings through computer software where there is more control over the final mix-down, which saves having to re-record things over and over again. Industry norms are approximately 70%, so that 15% saving is reducing your energy bill and softening your environmental impact on the planet. I've considered the Zoom R24 as it seems the only Zoom one with a built in drum machine but from watching tutorials I'm not sure the drums are as easy to use as on the Boss products.

For instance, you could have a crack at a solo up to eight times and keep the lot, choosing the best one at mixdown. As a multitracker, it supports simultaneous recording of up to four tracks so, if you have the microphones available, you could easily use it to record a multi-mic'd live drum kit either for further overdubs on the BR-800 or for transfer to computer. So good in fact, I've rigged it up to a house hold amplifier and some decent speakers, and abandoned my guitar amp. You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish.I had the opportunity to watch Geir record us with his and it seems very comprehensive and easy to use. Zoom R8 – Similar spec to the BOSS BR-800, although it does include editing features that the BOSS lacks. The BR-800’s powerful onboard effects processor includes GT-10/10B effects, VE-20 vocal effects and harmonies, and COSM-based acoustic-guitar body modeling. Even now the BR-800’s internal mics far surpass any mobile phone for recording band rehearsal’s / gigs etc, although for rough ideas I still tend to find my phone as it’s quicker and easier.
