About this deal

Top notes are Raspberry, Orange, Bergamot and Fig Leaf; middle notes are Cotton Candy, Licorice, Strawberry, Red Berries and Lily-of-the-Valley; base notes are Caramel, Vanilla, Musk, Tonka Bean and Sandalwood. If you dislike the original 'Pink Sugar' because of its harsh notes but still love the DNA: I 100% recommend 'Creamy Sunshine'! I gave it the benefit of the doubt because everyone seemed to love it but as someone who loves sweet scents I was disappointed. I use Michel Germain's Sugarful instead, since it smells less like deodorant and more like actual cotton candy.

I like most fragrance, I dislike just a few and I appreciate almost all of them for what they are, but some combinations just don’t do it for me at all. I'm not that fond of this note, it often feels a little too sharp and clean to me, but that's just what this sweet floral gourmand bomb needs. Think Pink Sugar DNA, this is absolutely Pink Sugar and you know it is, i don't know how to explain it, but you know that is what perfume DNA is all about baby! I was really late to the Aquolina party so missed out on Chocolovers and Gold, Silver, Black, Blue which I would have loved to test. I feel like there are different fragrances for different occasions, so I wouldn't wear this to a business meeting or a fancy dinner. The sweet and seductive base is composed of vanilla, caramel, and musk, providing a warm and sensual feeling.

If it didn't have that, I'd absolutely keep this, even if only because it garners so many compliments. The sugar is still a main note in this but the citris adds a little pop in the opening but in the dry down they all mould together creating a creamy sweet tropical scent. LMAO omg ok so i knew everyone said this is polarizing but i thought that was just a barometer for whether or not you like strong gourmands.

The first fragrance of Italian cosmetic brand Aquolina is Pink Sugar, a fragrance for young girls who like sweets. To me this is the most interesting Pink Sugar flanker since the discontinued masterpiece that was Black Sugar. To me and on me, this smells very vanilla/cake/cookies with raspberry, strawberry, and caramel, at the very base i can smell a little bit of sandalwood, sometimes i smell it sometimes i dont, but when i do smell it its amazing! One thing my nose hates about this scent that keeps it from being great for me is the licorice note. on the skin i can mostly smell a sweet vanilla that's intoxicating with a touch of the cotton candy, but the cotton candy isn't sickeningly artificial. I got a sample of this and was looking forward to smelling it as I love sweet scents, but I’m extremely disappointed. Every time I spray this on myself I think "ew I must be remembering it wrong, this is so bad" and start to be sad that maybe my bottle is too old and the juice has gone off.

It was very long lasting, it became more of a skin scent by night but that lingered on until the next morning. Perhaps, I've become accustomed to overly sweet and somewhat juvenile fragrances to the point that Pink Sugar is now child's play. Whether its coconut or any of the flowers stated though, (mimosa, tiare flower - which I adore and seek out) I couldn't say. I wish it lasted longer and I wish there was an exquisite dry down but it stays consistent, and it disappears on me after a few hours, maybe three.I can barely smell the cotton candy in this, it just smells vaguely sweet with a bit of burning plastic/rubber. It does have this licorice bite in the initial spray, but it develops into an addicting cotton candy smell, truly warm and sweet like cotton candy there’s nothing else like this tbh. While more floral and citrusy than the original pink sugar, is still a very good Gourmand because the caramel, and vanilla notes are quite strong and long lasting. I don't love the loud caramel and sugar and coconut and (see where I'm going) mix I smell for hours before that. The scent opens with a seductive blend of fresh notes like bergamot and Sicilian orange, giving a fresh and lively sensation.
