So in this one it opens well, the relationship between the two main characters is well done (there are 3 main characters but I refer to the "romantic interest). I want to try reading something else of his to see if this happens all the time or if it is just in this one. What this unfathomable power is, how they can use it to stop the evil erupting all around them, and why they have been chosen are only parts of a puzzle that reaches back into the tragic past and the dark secrets they all share: secrets of madness, pain, and untimely death. I can still tell you about Koontz stories I read 10 or more years ago, but having read By The Light Of The Moon less than 2 years ago, not much has stuck in my mind, except for some less than positive things.
