About this deal

Made by the Japanese brand Nasika this projector allows you to view the stars, Milky Way, constellations and even Earth. The projector is able to show you real-time viewing which means that you can see what the night sky looks like right now – a great advantage if you’re looking to learn the locations of stars for astrophotography! Most interesting of all, it projects the stars based on your programmed time and date function. That means on any given time and date, it’ll accurately display the night sky and constellations of the Northern Hemisphere. (That unfortunately means those in the Southern Hemisphere may not get the accurate reading they’d hope.) the rotation simulating the night sky's rotation is silent - meaning much more relaxed observing! The direction of rotation can be reversed, depending on whether the northern or the southern sky is to be simulated.

The hardware is simple and straightforward. It includes a small lamp that runs on 4 x AA batteries (not included) and a square base. The assembled night sky dome, positioned over the lamp, has support fixed at each of its four corners. Once the lights are off, the stars on the globe light up, casting their projections onto the walls and ceiling. If the user is looking to add even more sparkle and whimsy into their galaxy view, the Flux will periodically cast a small light, simulating a shooting star. It’s a fun feature, though the effect is more convincing when the image distance is towards the top end of the Flux’s range, and when combined with one of the optional extra disks, such as the Warped Andromeda. Encalife Ambience Galaxy & Star Projector:A neat combination of a star projector and Bluetooth speaker built into one. It isn't scientifically accurate but it displays vivid nebula-inspired patterns to enhance the ambience in any room. ★★★½Like the Atmosphere Smart Galaxy Projector, you won't get scientific accuracy, but you'll get a fantastic 'insomnia-busting' experience that allows your children (or yourself) to sleep better at night. The technology in this puts out a strong and clear projection, I’ve found it works best on a flat surface without anything else, such as TVs, giving off light pollution. Additional Projection Discs There isn't a 'top X star projector list' you'll come across without finding the Sega Toys Homestar Flux taking a podium position. Unlike many 'star projectors,' this model's main focus (no pun intended) is to project a realistic-looking, high-quality image of extraterrestrial subjects onto your wall or ceiling, often using real photos from various observation stations around the world. It ships with two disks as standard, but with over 30 compatible disks available as additional add-ons, there's a greater level of exploration to be had than with other star projectors and home planetariums. The top holds the advanced multilevel glass lenses and smooth focus dial. You’ll use the dial on first use and if you relocate the unit or change what it projects on to give a sharp projection. It’s easy to tell when unfocused as stars look fuzzy.

In reference to Class IIIa lasers (like laser pointers or some used in star projectors), the FDA says: ' Depending on power and beam area, can be momentarily hazardous when directly viewed or when staring directly at the beam with an unaided eye. Risk of injury increases when viewed with optical aids.' There are buttons to turn the device on, activate the timer, turn the rotation on (North or South) and activate the ‘shooting star’. The actual words are not lit or visible in the dark, but there aren't that many to forget which button does what, and you won’t do any damage if you accidentally press the wrong one. If you are looking for some of the most realistic star projector and home planetarium, look no further. The SEGA Flux is what you are looking for.Bluetooth speakers tend to be quite poor quality, but we thought the speaker was surprisingly high quality and had excellent sound clarity and detail. The adjustable sound settings are a plus, enabling you to customize the sound to your liking and to switch to a different genre of music. These projectors are usually pro-level. They project hundreds of stars, some with holographic technology. They have advanced multilevel glass lenses for greater projections and offer even additional star discs. The projection is usually adjustable, offering great detail, precision, and clarity. They can also be used in churches or cinemas. You will see from our April 2023 Pococo Star Projector review that we were impressed, so much so that we thought the imagery was just as impressive and the functionality was just as good as the much-loved Sega Toys Homestar Flux. The added bonus is that the Pococo is rechargeable, whereas the Sega Toys Homestar Flux needs to be used near a power supply. Included with the unit is a USB power cable and wall adapter. The wall adapter is optional, meaning you can power it from a portable power bank, you’re not restricted to a wall outlet like the Original Homestar.

As well as the planetarium with its power plug, two discs are also included. These show the northern starry sky both with and without constellation markings. The 2.0 version of this projector comes with the BlissLights smartphone app, connecting via Bluetooth. Using the app, you can select from seven effects modes, modify the projector's intensity, adjust laser brightness, and even set the rotation speed. Additionally, you can create your own custom color blend through the app. Just keep in mind that the stars will always appear either green or blue, depending on which model you get. Insomnia can affect us at any age ( 1), and white noise has been proven to be benefic for sleep ( 2), any kind of projector can help us with that. Along with these advantages, star projectors for grownups usually have quality speakers, thus offering great ambiance both audibly and visually since they tend to be more realistic, great for a romantic evening, party, relaxation, or learning about the cosmos. Professional galaxy projectors As the name suggests, it projects 8,000 stats and 61 constellations in the northern hemisphere accurately. The only thing we didn't like was that it is powered by USB-A to DC cable, which seems a little outdated (we'd prefer USB-C), but aside from that, it would make an excellent gift for any space lover for any occasion.

Having completed a recent Brainstorm Toys Deep Space Home Planetarium and Star Projector review, we feel that it deserves a spot in this guide as a great STEM toy that will captivate kids ages six and up, and, in our opinion, spark their interest in all things space-related. Depending on the model you choose, star projectors can recreate the night sky accurately from the comfort of your own home, surrounding you with stars and constellations and many even double as galaxy projectors. Whether you’re hosting a space-themed party, learning about the cosmos or simply looking for a way to help you fall asleep, star projectors can do it all.Rotation and No Noise】 The Star projector runs noiselessly to create a comfortable sleeping environment. A 360° rotating scene can be projected onto the ceiling, walls, and floor. All-round starry sky atmosphere.
