Yet again, I have been captivated from the very first page and to say I have been gripped throughout would be a massive understatement.

Detective Chief Inspector Ryan was tried and hoping to have a couple of days off after finishing a case uncovering corruption in the Northumbria CID. How in the world did a lone female end up running through the middle of the moors on a huge Army training base? I agree with a lot of the other reviewers that this book felt a bit rushed, and would prefer fewer books each year, but to a higher standard. Another exciting, fast-paced, well-written adventure for DCI Ryan and his team from the Major Crimes Unit. Whilst I am delighted that new episodes of DCI Ryan's escapades are coming thick and fast, I do think that perhaps the books are now beginning to suffer.
