A smooth liqueur infused with citrus fruit, spices, Scotch and Bourbon, Famous Grouse Liqueur was produced for only 5 years from 2003 until 2008. The General Wine Company is a family-owned and operated wine merchant in Liphook, Hampshire, England. The story of this release is that John Ramsey, former master of malt had inspiration from a cold winter’s night while indulging in a few glasses of whisky and easting ginger cake and mandarin fruits.

The inspiration for this liqueur’s creation came after one winter’s night when John and two colleagues were snow bound at a remote distillery with the only sustenance they could find being ginger cake and mandarin oranges which they chased with a dram or two of whisky.
