There is specific information on King's Cross Station and a glimpse into Rowling's thoughts about the subject. Rowling has said of her teenage years, in an interview with The New Yorker, "I wasn’t particularly happy.

Having followed the whole series since the beginning there was no doubt that I was going to purchase these on the day they came out. Having read these stories now, personally for me, they didn't really add anything valuable or distinctive.Well, ghosts have been the vital part of Hogwarts, but I was surprised about the portraits – they are two-dimensional with a weird explanation about being capable to talk and move. Take your ticket for this exclusive tour where you’ll be able to access areas where even Harry Potter, himself, couldn’t go in the original seven books! Every time we hope against hope that Harry Potter and The Cursed Child will become a movie with the original cast .

As she had no middle name, she chose K as the second initial of her pen name, from her paternal grandmother Kathleen Ada Bulgen Rowling. It was great fun to see who was almost a Hatstall and the other two characters from the series who were true Hatstalls like Harry.A decade ago, a series that was both fascinatingly engaging and impossibly perfect, came to a gut wrenching conclusion when the author decided to end all conflict with a great war and an epilogue a fully grown teenager's lifetime later. Another segment of this chapter gives more detailed thoughts from Rowling about Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. It’s not a guided tour, nor is it entirely complete, but you’re now privy to some of the famous wizarding school’s many secrets.

Aside from its role in The Goblet of Fire, I know little about this location, but have always found it to be a mysterious presence lingering in the background. I know by now that there will be special editions of the first book being published next year because of the story's anniversary - four versions, one for each Hogwarts House. Rowling hints about how she first intended to create and change certain things in the books and gives a general insight into her creative writing process concerning the Harry Potter books. Hogwarts An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide takes you on a journey to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.Rowling is the author of the enduringly popular, era-defining Harry Potter book series, as well as several stand-alone novels for adults and children, and a bestselling crime fiction series written under the pen name Robert Galbraith. The screenplays were published to coincide with each film’s release: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - The Original Screenplay (2016), Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald - The Original Screenplay (2018) and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore - The Complete Screenplay (2022). Hay poquito que decir sobre ellas, pero me han venido genial para desconectar entre lecturas (sobretodo ahora en época de exámenes) pero no aportan nada nuevo (pero sí que me han parecido muy entretenidas).

This book begins with the journey to Hogwarts and goes right up to explaining its hidden secrets like the Chamber of Secrets. As a Potterhead I'm interested in all sorts of background information on all manner of things of course so although I already knew most of these tidbits from Pottermore, I enjoyed the collection. In this little ebook we at least get the information about the Hufflepuff common room since that was the only one never visited by Harry in the books. Rowling talks about her choices and experience regarding Hogwarts School Subjects and, more importantly, Time-Turnerv and the struggle of Hermione's access to one—an interesting behind the scenes to it all, with also a better understanding given on the working of time-turners! When she was a young teenager, her great aunt, who Rowling said "taught classics and approved of a thirst for knowledge, even of a questionable kind," gave her a very old copy of Jessica Mitford's autobiography, Hons and Rebels.

Her latest children’s novel The Christmas Pig, published in 2021, is a standalone adventure story about a boy’s love for his most treasured thing and how far he will go to find it. This is the third and final ebook (in a series of three, so far) collecting short stories written by J.
