Description

With the caveat that to actually save money with these boxes, you have to need every model in the box (which I think will hurt the Grey Knights because of Castellan Crowe–if you want him, you probably already have him.), all of these Boarding Patrol boxes are very good value. A few forward-thinking groups of Aeldari managed to avoid the Fall, building vast spaceships called Craftworlds and escaping their increasingly debased kin. Known as the Asuryani, these refugees have lived a precarious existence in the millennia since the coming of Slaanesh, preserving a more austere way of life and guarding against another calamity. However, we’ll look at the value and see what price is more viable. New Eldar & Drukhari Boarding Patrol Boxes: What’s the Value? There’s plenty of guidance on how to paint your chosen subfaction, as well as fascinating lore on their histories, victories, and defeats.

Leading the way is my faction of choice for Warhammer 40,000, the Aeldari. They get themselves a rather fascinating set that features a lot of specialists. That certainly works with the idea of forming a boarding patrol to take down a specific target in the depths of a space hulk. Thrown into a desperate fight for survival amidst a furious three-way war, the T’au are driven to take desperate measures. Their fighting retreat sees them forced to make planetfall on a world that O’Shovah vowed never to set foot upon again. With all other options exhausted, and foes closing in on all sides, the T’au begin a hit-and-run battle amongst the lifeless wastes and eerie ruins of Arthas Moloch itself. Additional rules for using five factions in Boarding Actions – T’au Empire, Asuryani and Ynnari, Drukhari, Harlequins, and Adepta SororitasFormed around a core of redoubtable, objective-grabbing Guardians , this Combat Patrol offers a force that embodies everything the Aeldari are famed for – speed, psychic abilities, and withering firepower. It’s led by a sagacious Farseer, who can dish out mortal wounds and tweak the Strands of Fate in between supporting the CORE -keyworded Guardians and Wraithlord. The Emperor’s finest are the prime bulwark against Abaddon’s nefarious schemes, and this Boarding Patrol is typical of their brutal efficiency in such matters. You’ll be able to face any foe with a highly customisable Primaris Captain in Gravis armour, five Heavy Intercessors, and 10 Assault Intercessors. Even more Boarding Patrols are preparing for mobilisation – sign up for the Warhammer Community newsletter to find out which other factions are getting ready to breach and clear next. Well, the value is pretty decent, but again, it comes down to whether you need the units inside. If you don’t need a single unit, the box value goes way down. However, if you need everything inside, you get the 10 Acolyte Hybrids for close to free!

While many Warhammer 40,000 battles feature large armies clashing on the field of battle, Boarding Action missions allow you to play out those crucial assaults that can turn the tide of the greater conflict. Boarding Action armies will also look different to what you might be used to. Your forces will not have access to the Warlord Traits, Relics and Stratagems featured in your Codex, but can instead utilise a new range of bespoke options specifically tailored to this deadly form of combat. Over the coming books in the series this will be expanded upon with Faction-specific content and rules. As such, even veteran Warhammer 40,000 players will find an array of new options and challenges to truly sink their teeth into. Commander Shadowsun has bested near every foe that dared to stand against her, but the Death Guard present an altogether new challenge in Phil Kelly’s Shadowsun: The Patient Hunter . With ancient warriors and corpulent daemons confounding her understanding of reality, O’Shaserra will need to test her understanding of Kauyon and stretch her abilities to the limit to prevent an all-out schism between her forces and her allies. Gaunt’s Ghosts: The Victory Part Two (French Edition)As a relatively high-value box of miniatures, there are some serious savings to be snapped up with the Aeldari Boarding Patrol box. Whip through tangled corridors with three Ophydian Destroyers – frightening close combat fighters, supported by a Canoptek Plasmacyte. In their wake follow 10 Necron Warriors, armed with a selection of deadly gauss weaponry to flay the skin from living targets or blast apart enemy machinery, while 10 Lychguard provide even more melee ability, armed with either a hyperphase sword or warscythe – both units splitting neatly into squads of five for navigating tight passageways. Underdog Bonus: If one player is the Underdog, that player starts the battle with 1 additional Command point. Commander Farsight doesn’t just have a book dedicated to him – he’s also got an awesome new model, which is first available in Boarding Patrol: T’au Empire. This powerful assault force contains three Crisis battlesuits and 10 Fire Warriors, accompanied by a small shoal of Drones. It’s a firepower-first nightmare for enemy patrols, and even includes some close combat punch thanks to Farsight himself.* Arks of Omen: Farsight Enclaves Dice Set The Drukhari already love to raid voidcraft for business and pleasure, and the Arks of Omen have only spilled blood in the water. A Succubus leads 20 Wyches in Boarding Patrol: Drukhari, accompanied by a band of five sinister Incubi. Boarding Patrol: Grey Knights

Global prices have been estimated from similar-priced products. Boarding Patrol: Aeldari – Price Value & Savings Summary The Drukhari already love to raid voidcraft for business and pleasure, and the Arks of Omen have only spilled blood in the water. A Succubus leads 20 Wyches in Boarding Patrol: Drukhari, accompanied by a band of five sinister Incubi. Few things are as terrifying in a confined space as a Phoenix Lord. Jain Zar leads Boarding Patrol: Aeldari accompanied by five Howling Banshees, as well as 20 Corsair Voidscarred who can be assembled as any one of two different units. Boarding Patrol: Drukhari This is hard-hitting force includes three Crisis Battlesuits and a squad of 10 Fire Warriors, who are perfectly suited for close-quarters combat when assembled as a Breacher Team. The battlesuits have numerous short-ranged weapon options, which offer great utility against many different enemy types in tight spaces. Games Workshop isn't slowing down when it comes to releasing Boarding Patrols it seems. More factions are going to be getting smaller 500-point armies for playing out the new Boarding Actions game mode for Warhammer 40,000. This time, the Sci-Fi armies of the Aeldari and the Drukhari get themselves new fighting forces. But what are the best value Boarding Patrols for the money? You can actually save quite a bit of money with some of these (assuming that these models are the models you want). I wasn’t too enthusiastic about the Space Marine Boarding Action because it basically seemed like you were buying Heavy Intercessors and Assault Intercessors, and got an HQ unit free. Good if you like it, but kinda bland. But the other boxes, which have been announced but are not yet available for sale, look like really great values. What are the Best Value Boarding Patrols?

The raiding party is led by a Succubus, a supremely skilled duellist and cruel champion of the Wych Cults. The many Wyches they lead are skilled murderers in their own right, combining athleticism and martial skills with an assortment of toxic weapons. A squad of Incubi lends a heavier hand, sweeping through corridors using massive blades wielded with a dedication to the killing arts.Boarding Patrol: Aeldari provides a skilled force of elite warriors, perfectly suited to slicing enemies apart in games of Warhammer 40,000 – especially in the dense and deadly Boarding Action missions detailed in the Arks of Omen series – and will save you money compared to buying the kits individually. Vashtorr the Arkifane’s quest for the Key-fragments is nearing its end, and the action turns to the dead world of Arthas Moloch in the fourth chapter in the epic narrative series, Arks of Omen: Farsight. Commander Farsight is just preparing to wrap up the vicious War of Dakka once and for all, when calamity strikes and his entire operation is jeopardised by the arrival of the Unhallowed space hulk and its Balefleet entourage. Some people love the new-ish Voidscarred, so this might be a popular bundle option. Boarding Patrol: Drukhari
