About this deal

Fresh fruit is also a big part of our culture. I don't think I've ever gone a single day without some kind of fresh fruit; especially tropical fruit. Here in Los Angeles, we have fruit vendors, whereas in other parts of the country there are hot dog or nut vendors. So, I'm guessing that Jennifer Lopez just combined several of her loves into one signature scent. So then I wore it the next day. Same thing, but better. The scent kept wafting into my nose after 6, 8, 10 hours -- I can still smell this?! What kind of madness is this?! Experience the vibrant spirit of Jennifer Lopez's favourite city, Miami, with Miami Glow. This fragrance embodies the soul of the city, with its palm trees, beaches, parties, freedom, and passion. Miami Glow is a sexy, warm, and sensual fruity floral fragrance, perfect for summertime parties and embracing the lively Miami atmosphere. The reformulation has not done it any favours, + the longevity has suffered. This is a copy of 'China Rain' - which is ofc, an oil - & the oil keeps the notes 'rounded' & quite beautiful - it's better quality & is a lovely, fresh, clean, kind-of soapy, but not laundry detergent - as you find in Glow; Glow is v detergent-y, in the opening, espc, now - you don't need me to describe the notes; so many ppl hv done so already, but, in it's fullest, Glow is now mainly, sweet grapefruit/a quite synthetic & rough orange blossom, with a more prominent rose - surprisingly powdery - gives me original Anais Anais vibes actually - & ofc, both J Lo & Jennifer Aniston were fans of that, too - when I was tiny, Anais Anais was popular, but later, I tried it & couldn't wear it - ditto this. Tbh - now - it's pretty awful, throughout, & even in the original early 2000's bottle - it was plastic-ky - but after the mess of the opening, it did used to settle down - & if it suited your chemistry it could be quite pleasant but.. it's not good now at all.

I've tried giving it a handful of chances within the last year and I just can't.. it's not my chemistry because regardless of where I spray it - it smells the same. Way over-hyped and not a safe blind buy. Probably one of the biggest letdowns in terms of fragrance for me. a b c d e f g h i j k "Jennifer Lopez Fragrance Guide". StealTheirStyle.co.uk. For the same price, you could probably get a reasonable quantity of Guerlain's "Champs D'Elysee" or Elizabeth Arden's "Fifth Avenue," both of which can be had for a song these days and both of which smell like actual white flowers. a b c Robin (February 6, 2009). "Jennifer Lopez J Lo Sunkissed Glow ~ fragrance review" . Retrieved April 3, 2012.In the opening, all I get is generic fresh green floral, brightened by citrus, heavy on the lily of the valley. Lily of the valley is one of those notes that gives me a headache, almost without exception (Jo Malone LE Lily of the Valley is the exception...). I was hoping for prominence of the Earl Grey Tea and rice notes. I can make the Earl Grey out, just, about 20 minutes in. And the rice note is slightly more discernible at that point. The lily of the valley green floral fades a tiny bit, but it retains that slightly screechy powdery headache inducing quality for me, which is quite sad. There’s an inoffensive woody base that the rice and screechy lily of the valley sit on. This doesn’t project a long time on me. Lasts maybe 2-3 hours on my skin, when I’m generally glad to be rid of it. But I really do like that rice note and the bottle. Oh well. As to the scent itself - it's ok: mostly tea and pepper which kind of reminds of of Alien Eau Extraordinaire. I do get some Lily of the Valley and a bit of sandalwood too. There is one note though that I don't care for and I'm not sure what it is, It smells sort of boozy, weirdly.

It's such a gentle, feminine, inoffensive, sweet, herbal scent that - honestly - could suit any woman. I own over 80 fragrances and I have nothing else quite like this! It's unique and wanders into niche territory... you'd never guess it was a celebrity creation.

I first encountered this In a shop during a sampling spree where i just couldn’t find anything that really grabbed me. After all the overly sweet offerings in the celebrity section began to blur together I tried this and was perplexed. In comparison to everything else surrounding it this was almost non existent, but my nose was experiencing some perfume fatigue at that point. After a few minutes of rest I smelled it again and was stunned by how much I liked it. To think I could have missed out because my senses had been overloaded by the loud fruity florals that crowded the shelves. The reform of Glow, has even more 'cyanoacrylate' ie, superglue in it - which totally ruins it for me - once you smell that you can't get past that, I think - & even previous fans may be hard pushed to keep wearing it. This is SO classy and zen. I can imagine JLo wearing this for a workout or something - perhaps to meditate!

It features top notes of pink grapefruit, coconut water, and passionfruit, heart notes of sunbaked sand accord, orange blossom, and heliotrope, and base notes of sheer amber, musk, and vanilla. The combination creates an energizing tropical aroma that is irresistible.

It's light, all right, but light in the way of the kiddie colognes that come with gift sets aimed at pre-teens. It also strongly reminds me of the Mattel Kiddle mini-dolls that came in brightly colored plastic bottles -- "Perfume Kiddles," I think. Each doll had its own fragrance, and I had one that was supposed to be Lily of the Valley. When I sprayed "Glow" on my wrists and gave it a chance to settle down, all I could smell was plastic impregnated with aldehydes. It was 1968 all over again, which was NOT a great year in the fragrance world. "Hai Karate Oriental Lime," I'm looking at YOU. Jennifer Lopez Glow opens with a moderate projection of white florals and citrus accords. The opening is fresh and bright; the grapefruit is slightly sweet, and both, the tuberose, neroli, and orange blossom create a mix of floral and citrus notes. Shortly after the initial application, the musk, listed as a base note, enters the blend, with a clean, white, and projecting accord. Meanwhile, the initial moderate projection begins to drop, and changes to moderate to low. As time passes, the rose becomes more noticeable, the scent of the rose in this fragrance is more evocative of white roses than red roses. As the fragrance commences to dry-down, the grapefruit accord dissipates, but the white florals and their citrus nuances continue. The sandalwood, amber, and vanilla are soft touches; the orris root joins to support adding its citrus and floral accords. The most noticeable changes in this fragrance are the citrus accords which are sharper towards the opening and become soft, rounded, and musky towards the dry-down. Once Jennifer Lopez Glow has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a moderate to low projection, slightly sweet, white floral, citrus and musky fragrance with musk accords. The fragrance feels airy, clean, delicate, diurnal, feminine, floral, gentle, modern, musky, playful, refreshing, relaxing, sporty, slightly sweet, versatile, and pleasant. Sometimes you need to buy travel sized bottles of hyped fragrances to remind yourself that hype doesn't often live up to your reality. a b Silverman, Stephen (December 20, 2002).
