On the positive side, I also noticed a lot of intriguing printed parts featured this set (especially for the Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower), which I look forward to discovering in more detail as we get into the review. I was displeased by last year’s re-creation of the Eiffel Tower in #21044 Paris Skyline, and unfortunately the Tokyo Tower is designed in much the same way. The most interesting aspect is a technique that I’ve never seen before where the eight soft axle 19L (part 32235) elements are hidden in a collar at the top but are not attached to anything. This works reasonably well, although soft axle components are hard to keep straight, making it difficult to a make the legs look uniform.

On completion, the tower was dedicated to the volunteer firefighters who died in the city's five major fires. Inside the tower are hand-painted murals that reflect life in San Francisco in the 1920s and 1930s. With the LEGO® Architecture London Skyline set, you can recreate some of the capital's iconic architecture at home on a much smaller scale. We know recreating Frank Gehry's Lou Ruvo Centre this scale would be… challenging, to say the least, but we just feel that there are more inspiring buildings in Las Vegas, even if the brown look of the Wynn is certainly recognisable. Finally, 21037 LEGO House – a 2017 set that’s exclusively available at its namesake in Billund – is apparently due to stay in production until at least the end of 2026, suggesting the LEGO Group has no plans to update what’s arguably already a perfect rendition of its interactive attraction. I’ve spent about 80 hours on it so far and am looking at about another 100 hours of work before it’s finished.”

When starting a model I try to identify what I’d consider the key part of the build. For functional models, this might mean the gearbox or any moving parts. For animals, this might be the plumage of a bird, the snout of a dog, or the stripes of a tiger.
