The MagnetoSpeed V3 ballistic chronograph kit was designed to be used on barrels and suppressors from 1/2" all the way up to 2"es in diameter. In addition to the larger diameter tolerance, the V3 also has one" more clearance in the blast zone to account for longer (up to 3" in most cases) muzzle brakes, flash hiders, etc. WORKS WITH V3 MAGNETOSPEED BAYONETS AS-IS. SPORTER/V2 BAYONETS REQUIRE OUR “SPORTER & V2” ADAPTER TO UTILIZE THE SAME MOUNTING POINTS.

I mean really, it’s a fairly niche case that you need hard data on the exact speed of your bullets.

The unit itself is compact and easy to transport in the carry case provided. Once setup at the bench and from the first shot fired the data populated. The data that is given can be stored in the onboard SD card or you can simply write down the readings or type them into your phone. I keep a notes section on my phone for my load development DOPE so it was easy to add the readings into that. If you Google around you can find a dozen or more DIY or 3D printed “aiming” devices to help you aim the Labradar. Testing the same lot of ammo over and over, I got the same readings within my expected extreme spread. These can be worked around depending on the firearm you’re using, many high end precision rifle chassis have rod attachments you can get to mount the Magnetospeed to them to keep them off your barrel.This was my first chronograph and honestly, it’s what the vast majority of people will get the most value out of. We’ve made substantial improvements to our very popular Magnetospeed Mount for better performance with long barrels and suppressors. Beefier construction, larger hardware, and a 5/8” rod rather than 3/8” provide a sturdier experience, particularly with the bayonet set further from the mount.
