And last, but not least, for those of you with a Silhouette-machine interested in creating your own DIY Photo Booth props using my free cut-file, well, this one’s for you. DIY Photo Booth Props & Free Cut File She even mustered up the courage to blow out her two candles despite being a bit flustered by the flames.

Last year, I took inspiration from a felt flower crown to plan Juniper’s Blooming First Birthday Bash. A Blooming First Birthday Bash! I could not resist the opportunity to snap a few photos of the birthday girl with the letter board before the party started. Bless her heart, Juniper’s second birthday fell during the week we moved, which meant we hastily split a single cupcake among the three of us, sang “Happy Birthday,” and called it a day. Before you learn how to design and print your own wrapping paper, you’ll need to have a few very important items:For drinks, I whipped up some sweet tea and pink lemonade. And by whipped up, I mean that my father-in-law mixed up the Crystal Lite for us! (Thanks, Dad.) Okay, here’s another sweet shot of our little mama. She can turn anything into a “baby.” Even an ice cream cone shooter. I lined our front driveway and walkway with the 9 ice cream cones, leading folk to our new front door. I was grateful the rain stayed away, and the skewers stayed put in the ground for the entire party. Yahoo! And then, I ran my scrapbook EZ runner tape up along one of the sides, created my cone shape, and secured the two sides together. I tried to leave a small hole at the bottom of the cone for the skewer to poke through.

But we put a date on the calendar to give our little lady a proper birthday celebration with family three weeks later. And we had such a sweet time, I decided to snap some pictures so I could share some of my favorite party details from Juniper’s Ice Cream Themed Birthday Partywith you all. I don’t know about you, but there is something so satisfying about making large scale projects – but sometimes large projects can be a little intimidating. For years, I’ve wanted to give you a step-by-step tutorial on how to create one of my favorite large scale projects: wrapping paper. I want you to really get it, understand the process and feel empowered to design your very own wrapping paper for any gift you have to give. I knew the tutorial would have to be good and you would need to feel like I’m right there with you! Welp, today’s the day! Today, I’m coming into your home, I’m traveling with your inside your phone…however it is you plan to view this video, I’ll be right there with you showing you the steps for how to design and print your own wrapping paper. Change the value in the “Horizontal” field to “12” since this is the exact width of my seamless pattern. You may need to select a different number depending on the width of your seamless pattern design. The red balloons to achieve the look of the “cherry on top” was an afterthought, and I happened to have two red balloons on hand. But I love how they completed the look of the two ice cream cones for our two-year-old.Juniper comes from a long line of ice cream lovers. Her grandpa–my dad–is a true fanatic. And with our Orlando temperatures hitting the nineties everyday, nothing sounded quite as refreshing as sitting poolside with a bowl of frozen goodness to enjoy. I scream, you scream, we all scream for an ice cream themed birthday party with do-able decor you can pull off at the last minute! And then about an hour into the party, Mark grilled us some burgers and dogs with the aid of his right-hand man, our nephew Jeremiah. After having seconds of sundaes, and taking some time to pray a house blessing, it was time to hug and bid each other adieu. I love me a Paperless Post invite. All the ease of a digital invite with the thrill that comes from getting real mail with your name on an envelope that opens to reveal a card.

For some folk, a party theme might turn them into a stress-ball. But for me, it’s a fun way to hone in my focus and also spark some creativity. Like I said, I’m not a big cook, but an easy-to-assemble side like the Caprese Pasta Salad is just my type! And it was a hit with the guests. Type Shift + O to change the size of the Adobe Illustrator artboard. In this case I am using Canon Photo Matte Paperthat is 13″ x19″ Then type “V” to exit artboard editing

Thanks again for stopping by the party, and before you go, don’t forget to take an ice cream shooter! {Wink.}
