Deluxe Legacy Pointblank and his Targetmaster Peacemaker are finally here to hop into your collection! After witnessing the power of secondary operators, the Decepticons and other Autobots saw the logic in having some of their own. As Jazz's unit worked on Megatron's virus, Sideswipe followed Optimus Prime to San Francisco for the last battle against Megatron and his Decepticons. Prime Directive #4 When Superion was taken down, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker heroically (though foolishly) charged at Devastator, and they were smashed between the giant Constructicon's palms for their trouble. After Optimus Prime brought Devastator down with a blast to the head, Sideswipe was restrained by the surviving Decepticons. Prime Directive #5 However, through human intervention, Optimus Prime freed his Autobots and the battle was rejoined. Sideswipe tag-teamed with his brother to pummel Soundwave, though the Decepticons eventually escaped when Superion sacrificed his life to save the city from General Hallo's unauthorized nuclear missile launch. Prime Directive #6 Peacemaker is named after the 19th century Colt Single Action Army revolver, also known as Peacemaker. The change from "Diaclone" to "Ancient Time Universe" is because TakaraTomy has a concurrently-running Diaclone revival line entirely separate from Transformers (focusing on the original pre- Car Robot aesthetic).
Pointblank was featured in the Japanese series Transformers: Headmasters, where he was called Blanker. The concept of the Targetmasters in this series was somewhat similar. Instead of Nebulans the Targetmaster partners were small Transformers from the planet Master. After being bonded to their partners the Targetmasters developed a telepathic link with their companions. The weapons replaced the robot's hands rather than held by them.
