Romano Ricci is the executive founder and perfumer of Juliette Has a Gun. He was born with success in his DNA, spawning from grandfather Robert Ricci who founded the Nina Ricci Fragrance Empire and great-grandson of Nina Ricci, a self-taught high-class seamstress. use of the content you supply does not violate these Terms of Use and will not cause injury to any person or entity. Wherever this trend goes next I’m totally here for it. It’s great to see such bold subversions of a classic style and with new materials, sandalwood is taking on a new life, one that is far from the plushness one is so used to and towards something more arid and hot. Don’t make the mistake of assuming Romano fell into his career out of birthright. He worked incredibly hard to learn the business independently, which is why he knows the perfect magic in the magnetizing aroma you find in the stores today, helping evolving sensuality using feminine and masculine notes. About the Brand I agree with Fleurici that this is a winter fragrance, suitable to the name since so many people have the blues in the colder, darker months. Sunny Side Up does gives the comfort and warmth one might want, while reminding you that summer hasn't gone forever and hasn't gone far. It's a light fragrance and would be very easy to wear, offending no one. That's the best I can say.

Make any day a better day by wearing Juliette Has a Gun Sunny Side Up Eau de Parfum Spray, a fragrance that makes an impression on all who smell it. Subtle enough not to be overwhelming, this fragrance still attracts compliments, even from complete strangers. Leave it to iconoclast Juliette Has A Gun to infuse sandalwood with exuberant new optimism, out of the darkness and into the golden sun. In a pop art flourish, the yolky marigold cap on the white bottle cheekily alludes to its name, Sunny Side Up - but worry not - it's meant as a symbol of carefree joy, and the scent is as sleek as silk on skin.

Woody, milky sweet coconut-vanilla scent. It is very safe and not too loud. Nice and comforting. On its own, I can barely smell it when I spray it on myself. Sure, I can smell the top notes, but everything else disappears as soon as the top notes dissipates. However, layering this on top of other fragrances I deem way too strong or too faint, that's where Sunny Side Up truly shows its true self. It tempers down the stronger notes that I find offensive, while giving the fainter notes a huge boost. Sunny Side Up is quite a straightforward fragrance. It does not beat around the bush. To my nose it’s all about the interlinking nature of sandalwood and Iso E Super, both of which come together to create a light skin scent for summer. It’s fun and I like the fact that this scent tries to evoke the idea of warm, sun-kissed skin without the use of citrus or even prominent white flowers. The woodiness feels revitalising and comfortable, but at the same time it has this immensely warm, solar tone to it. Altogether, Sunny Side Up feels like a simple sandalwood scent for summer with a happy disposition – in fact, it’s hard not to wear it and feel good. It’s easily the best thing from Juliette in quite some time (although I enjoyed Gentlewoman, Mmmm…. and the Luxury Collection, I was never wowed – I am with Sunny Side Up) and if you want something for summer that’s not a tropical floral or a refreshing cologne, Sunny Side Up may just be what you’re after. Juliette Has a Gun is part of her artillery collection, revealing to us a woman represents a sensual power as though it were a weapon. This modern world ambiance proves that her potential is endless, with a strong magnetism that can be unspoken and incredibly revealing.This one requires patience. Be forewarned: it goes on exceedingly weak and blooms in 20-30 minutes to a stronger sandalwood with a figgy brightness and the barest hint of pepper. Except for this moderate increase in strength, I find it to be linear and fairly soft. Well you will be pleased to know that Sunny Side Up does not smell like eggs. We’ll leave that type of shenanigans up to Etat Libre d’Orange, thank you very much. What it does smell like though, is sandalwood and what a lovely sandalwood it is. The initial impression is warm and nutty with a hint of floral freshness. The use of sandalwood here feels much more in tune with the Givaudan molecule Javanol (as opposed to real sandalwood) which adds an almost metallic freshness, allowing the surface of the wood to gleam with the endless reflection of light rather than absorb light as a dull matt texture. Personally I’m a ‘poached atop a slice of avocado toast’ kind-of-a-guy, but then again I am a millennial so what else would you expect? It seems that Juliette Has a Gun likes their eggs served with a generous helping of sandalwood and a side of sass, because that’s exactly what the brand’s exciting new fragrance ‘ Sunny Side Up‘ offers up. Juliette Has a Gun has always been a cheeky house, but they’ve really outdone themselves with this latest launch, creating a fragrance bottle that gives a birds eye view of a fried egg, sunny side up. Genius. With an uplifting and enlightening smell, the top notes of this fragrance include amyris, jasmine lactone, sandalwood and vanilla absolute. Featuring heart notes of iris butter, jasmine sambac and sandalwood, this personal fragrance is completed by base notes of ambrette, Iso E Super and salicylate. that violates any law, statute, ordinance or regulation (including, but not limited to, those governing export control, consumer protection, unfair competition, anti-discrimination or false advertising);

If the heart floats your boat, perhaps try it sprayed generously on clothing to see if it can perform better. Otherwise expect to need a refresher spritz every two hours. If you, associated Juliette Has A Gun only with her heavy & dark, pungent scents like "Lady Vengeance" and "Citizen Queen"; you'd be forgiven for being completely confused at this JHAG fragrance. Nothing like the above-mentioned fragrances. Sometimes a girl needs a sugar slam. Les options de livraison sont les suivantes : Livraison standard (Colissimo) et livraison express (Chronopost). Juliette Has a Gun proves that independence, desire, and romance are just a few significant layers within a woman, and she can tap into them with the chemistry she owns and the fragrances she applies. Final Thoughtthat is, or may reasonably be considered to be, defamatory, libellous, hateful, racially or religiously biased or offensive, unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing to any individual, partnership or corporation; Positioning Sunny Side Up as a “happy therapy”, Juliette Has a Gun’s nose and founder Romano Ricci has set out to create something that “inspires happy and positive feelings”. The scent and its visuals take on a pop art feel, with the sunny theme of bright yellow running throughout. It plays on the idea of hot days on the beach where the sun is blazing so much it’s possible to fry eggs on the skin and the playfulness of the visuals (where the sun and model’s breasts are replaced with fried eggs) alludes to the care free spirit of this happy little perfume. To create the fragrance, Ricci started with the star material of sandalwood, which he paired with musks, jasmine and a coconut milk to accentuate the sandalwood’s “unctuous tonalities”. Intrigued yet? The development here is fairly linear. There are a few subtle shifts as time goes on but no real dramatic changes as the fragrance dries down. As Sunny Side Up develops, the prominence of Iso E Super becomes clear. The savoury and almost skin-like material smooths and bolsters the sandalwood, making it salty and flesh-like. It’s at this point that the visuals really match the fragrance and one’s mind turns to the image of warm bodies baking on the beach. My problem with it is this: by the time it blooms to become noticably present to the point where there is significant fading to skin scent is a mere 2 hours. At 2 1/2 hours the figgy/rhubarb brightness has fled and there is one more hour of wood skin scent. This is dry, without richness, and not so happy. By 3 1/2 hours it is utterly and completely gone.
