These delicious biscuits are particularly versatile in terms of their consumption – everybody has a different approach. There is much satisfaction to be garnered from peeling off the top layer of biscuit to reveal the layer of cream. It's probably just me but I remembered Bourbon biscuits as having a stronger chocolate flavour. They actually taste more of cocoa, the biscuit is cocoa flavoured and you can't really taste chocolate in the cream filling either. Not that they aren't nice, I love them just the same. A great classic. The biscuit is crisp and light and the cream in the middle is more than enough! Custard creams are THE best biscuit in the world - ever! I have never met anyone who doesn't like them and I'm sure that's because that person doesn't actually exist.
