About this deal

Of course, my feet were tired at the end. The level of soreness wasn’t out of the ordinary or even particularly long-lasting, which is especially impressive considering how new they are.

You can easily buff out light scratches just using your finger, no oil or cloth necessary. In fact, a lot of light wear disappears on its own, blending into the distressed style of the leather.A little bit over a month wearing these work boots and Donny had to start wearing his old work boots. At least he started to swap them or rotate them. So as long as the waterproof membrane doesn’t get punctured, water will never come into his boots. Are they lightweight? How much do they weigh?

But the stitches are holding up well, there are no signs of damage to the eyelets or speed hooks, and even the laces are still in good shape. On top of that, I like that Donny is taking care of the boots applying dubbing to them every two weeks or so not only making them water-repellent but also keeping the leather in good, healthy condition. For someone working in construction, a gusseted tongue is a great feature to keep debris, soil, stone, sand, etc out of your work boots. As mentioned, Timberland claims that their own Ever-Guard leather is heat resistant up to 346 degrees, waterproof, and abrasion resistant. I can fully confirm the abrasion-resistance and durability. The materials used in making these boots are of good quality. They are a little bit on the heavy side, but they are comfortable (once you get use to them) and also durable. The only reason I didn’t get another pair of them is because the tread is pretty aggressive and the grated floor and stuff we have at work was dangerous running on. The boots weighs 2 pounds and 76 ounces which is the equivalent of 1 kg and 124 grams more or less.

Surprisingly the leather didn’t need breaking in. So the boots were comfortable right out of the box. Other qualities that contribute to the comfort include the padded collar, which also supports your ankle, and the soft Anti-Fatigue insole. Deeper scratches and scuffs are easily erased too. Use a soft cloth and dab it in some leather oil or conditioner. Start at the center of the bruise and gently buff the leather in circular motions. For extra tough damage, use mink oil, which also darkens. I can also report that the waterproof leather and membrane are highly effective. I once spent ten hours doing outdoor farm errands in moderate rain. I was soaked from the ankles up, but my feet were bone dry. Just remember to clean the upper before applying conditioners or oils. To do this, simply dust off the dirt, then go in with a leather cleaner like Saddle Soap. Dab it on a moist rag and suds it up.The top speed hooks are excellent. They’re designed like clips, so they hold the laces in. I almost feel like I can keep the laces untied because those hooks are holding on to them so tightly (for safety reasons, I wouldn’t do that though, and neither should you).
