Hydromol Bath & Shower is a medical device and may be prescribed as an appliance as listed in part IXA of the Drug Tariff. It is therefore prescribable from the Nurse Prescribers’ Formulary for NHS patients by nurse prescribers, community practitioners, district nurses and health visitors. Eczema is an inflammatory skin condition that causes dry skin, itchiness, rashes, blistering, and skin infections. There are a number of different types of Eczema. Hydromol Intensive Cream: This rich and creamy emollient is perfect for treating dry, scaly skin conditions. Its unique formula contains Urea, one of the skin’s natural moisturisers, which helps to soften and soothe the skin while restoring its moisture balance. Use this cream regularly to keep your skin healthy and hydrated. Uses of Hydromol Intensive Cream May produce local irritations (including erythema, burning or pruritus) and oedema when applied to sensitive, moist or fissured skin.Formulated with key ingredients for skin health, Hydromol Ointment is a soft ointment which moisturises the skin. Hydromol Intensive contains urea, the skin's natural moisturiser. Urea is a substance that is found naturally in the stratum corneum. It helps the skin retain moisture. Water is also normally retained in the stratum corneum by a thin layer of natural oil (sebum), which slowsdown evaporation of water from the skin surface. The urea in Hydromol Intensive is mixed with white soft paraffin which forms a layer of oil on the surface of the skin. This oily layer helps prevent water from evaporating from the skin’s surface which will reduce irritation, restore suppleness and improve the appearance ofyour skin. If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet. You can also report side effects directly via the Yellow Card Scheme at: www.mhra.gov.uk/yellowcard. By reporting side effects you can helpprovide more information on the safety of this medicine. Adults, elderly and children: apply liberally and frequently to the affected area and smooth into the skin in the direction of hair growth. Hydromol Cream may be used 2-4 times a day or as often as required. It is especially beneficial when used immediately after washing or bathing as water is still trapped in the skin for extra hydration and as the warmth of the skin may increase absorption.
