About this deal

Canberk: But I guess what you're saying is that some devices out there might only offer RCA connection and not an AUX connection? We're also not completely convinced by the concept of a Marshall multi-room system; you might buy one iconic-looking Marshall speaker, but wouldn't two, three for four look a little odd in your home?

Stanmore II, on the other hand, is twice as big as the Acton II, and is more of a small shelf speaker.Smaller size of Acton II forces downsizing the amplifiers as well. This is why Acton II is equipped with 30 W woofer and the Stanmore II with 50 W woofer. In fact, you’ll likely never need to use the full volume option, even in a loud party situation. This is both good and bad. Good, because you have the power if you need it, but bad as the top end does distort ever so slightly. Since you’ll likely never leave it on full volume, it’s not a massive issue. And if you really want ear-melting power, you can always opt for the slightly larger Stanmore II instead. Compared to Acton II, does Stanmore II worth the price increase (MSRP: 350 vs 250 USD)? Or would Acton II be enough for a regular guy like me? It leaves out everything else completely. Especially what we care the most about when it comes to power: Being able to play at high volumes without any loss of sound quality.

If you don't need portability, then get the Acton since it produces noticeably higher quality sounds. Excerpt of the chat with the Customer Rep The use of the Google Home did prove useful during set-up, but it's otherwise a pointless additional app. While it can be used to add new devices, you'll need to open the Marshall app to make any changes to volume, bass and treble, for example. Using the app it's easy enough to swap between other Marshall speakers on the same network, and set-up presets to Spotify playlists and web radio stations via the app. I've been putting off getting a new speaker for years now. I'm about to move to a new flat, so I thought this could be a great option to finally work it out. If you're going to be listening to your speakers in an apartment flat without significant sound proofing, it might be even more important than the loudness. However, the highlight is surely its deep and detailed sound quality, which will especially impress anyone after bass and volume. We dislikedOne of the most iconic audio brands ever, Marshall’s success all really started with their amplifiers, which have been a top choice for musicians the world over for decades. The Marshall Stanmore 2 is simply amazing for low-end and if you play a bass guitar in very low notes i.e under 80 Hz then you will be amazed at how well the speaker is able to handle those notes. The woofer works hard when it comes to mids and highs. This speaker lets you enjoy clean and precise audio even at high audio levels. It has a bass reflex system which comes with a port that helps in increasing the efficiency even at low frequencies so that you enjoy the stellar sound at all times. It is equipped with advanced components such as two 15 watt class D Amplifiers that powers its tweeters and a 50 watt class D amplifier that drives its mighty subwoofer. With that in mind, Zound's decision to put not just a Marshall logo on the Acton, but also the associated retro styling, makes a lot of sense. Le + : Une enceinte connectée au design élégant et rétro comprenant Wi-Fi, Bluetooth et assistants vocaux

The Kilburn II offers multi-directional sound which the Acton II doesn't, the Acton II only has forward facing speakers. Stanmore II is equipped with the this latest Bluetooth format whereas the Acton II isn't. RCA Input The variation between modes isn’t a huge change, just enough to hear the difference. But, bearing in mind this is a small Bluetooth speaker, it does well to offer more manual tuning. You can even change the brightness on the indicator lights if you want – a lovely option that shows Marshall has thought about this in great detail. I want my new speaker to sound good and sufficiently loud, but I also want it to be a nice looking piece in my living space, rather than just a metal box.

For regular sized apartment flat rooms up to, say, 160 square feet (15 square meters), would Acton II Bluetooth volume be sufficient? Versatility is always good, but there are perhaps too many choices when it comes to connecting to the Marshall Acton. While its Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity can be used by almost any mobile device, Apple products can connect over AirPlay whether they're using the Acton as a single speaker or networked to other speakers in Marshall's multi-room collection. The speaker is capable of playing louder, so that means it is capable of filling a larger space with more audio.
