Description

Over the years, the distillery went into and out of business with the Bushmills Old Distillery Company founded in 1784 to handle the distillery operations. The aroma is gentle and fruity, with hints of Mandarin orange. Also a slight sourness. Not very expressive but not uninviting either. Bushmills Original is an approachable whiskey with a rich, characterful taste of fresh fruit and vanilla

Palate: Rich, ripe fruit such as cantaloupe and fig mix with marzipan, almond milk, and a pronounced numbing clove flavor. The body is chewy and round with low tannins and a long, mellow finish with little to no alcohol astringency. Taste - The baking spice mix (cinnamon/nutmeg/cloves blended nicely together) takes centre stage on the palate, with the apple and butter notes also continuing through from the nose on a supporting basis. Overall, the intensity of the taste does not match that of the aromas initially presented.

I hate whisky snobs (Sorry if you are one). What's wrong with this - short answer, nothing. It's a fun, complicated, busy whisky for all that it's a dirty Irish blend, bey. I slowly walk into a lush garden clearing, hearing bird songs above me. Inhaling deeply, I can smell the bark of the trees, a caramel sweetness hangs in the air around me. The scent of a warm apple pie with cinnamon slowly fills the clearing. I close my eyes and inhale everything around me. Finish: short, smooth, a collection of the floral, grain and oak notes with green apples. Short finish that is consistently blends its flavours.

Nose: The nose is deep, rich and fruity; full of brandied plums, almonds, allspice and brown sugar. In May 2008, the Bank of Ireland issued a new series of sterling banknotes in Northern Ireland which all feature an illustration of the Old Bushmills Distillery on the obverse side, replacing the previous notes series which depicted Queen's University of Belfast. [6] [7] rare is approximately 2.5 times as expense at my stores and maybe 25% better. Complete estimates there and I am sure somebody will disagree with me. But I think the point will hold up.

The Single Malt 16-year-old is aged for 16 years in a combination of Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon-seasoned casks, then matured for several months in port wine barrels. Bushmills says, “The unique maturation process gives this single malt its distinct notes of juicy fruits, nuts and spice, as well as a hint of ruby redness.”

Bushmills Irish Whiskey is crafted with care at The Old Bushmills Distillery in Country Antrim, Northern Ireland In Rescue Me [ which?] the series, seasons 1–7, Bushmills is the common whiskey shared and favourited among the entire Irish Gavin Family and referred to in at least ten episodes. Victor It is the only 21 I've ever tried so I'm glad you replied. I will give it another go whenever I get the chance. The whiskey is a beautiful golden honey color, a little darker than a traditional scotch but still not quite to the level of an American bourbon. Coming off the glass, I get the aroma of apple, vanilla, and a little bit of malted barley.Bushmills 10-year single malt – Combines malt whiskeys aged at least 10 years in American bourbon or Oloroso sherry casks. Bushmills is the world's oldest whiskey distillery and is renowned for making award winning triple distilled single malt and blended Irish whiskey Finish - Medium in length, Slightly longer and more satisfying than the JWB although smoke is absent. However, for me it's fuller than the average speyside and ends with equal sweet and dry wood notes. Very moreish. Editor’s Note: These whiskeys were provided to us as review samples by Bushmills. This in no way, per our editorial policies , influenced the final outcome of this review.
