We only recommend you use Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Replacement Filters in the Perfect Prep machine. The filter may look a lot like other water filters but inside is a unique filtration membrane designed to remove impurities and contaminants. Most standard water filters do not include an anti-bacterial filtration membrane so will NOT remove bacteria. It is therefore extremely important to ensure that you are buying and using the correct Tommee Tippee anti-bacterial filter.

Press the descale button for 2 seconds and the system will run a descale process. During the descale process the red descale light will continue to flash. Press the filter volume reset button for 2 seconds to clear the memory. Discard dispensed water. Your machine is now ready to use. On average, each Perfect Prep filter should last around 3 months, however this depends on the frequency of use and what size bottles you are preparing. The original Perfect Prep machine features a warning light which will indicate when the filter is due to be replaced and the Day & Night version will display a message on the screen. Press the start button again. A green light will flash and more water will be dispensed to finish the cycle. Discard the dispensed water. For added convenience there is no need to use bottled, filtered or pre-boiled water in the Perfect Prep machine. Our filter features a filtration membrane designed to remove bacteria, impurities and contaminants that can be found in water. Water passes through an antibacterial filter to ensure it is clean and safe just like boiled water from a kettle.

A red warning light on your perfect prep machine will indicate when the filter needs to be replaced; please change the filter as soon as this is indicated for your child's safety and health. WARNING: Do not use other brands of filter in your machine. Even if they fit, they may not remove the same level of bacteria. Using this machine without a Tommee Tippee water filter could put your child’s health at risk. The perfect Prep™ can detect limescale build up, notifying you when it needs descaling. The descaling process will remove deposits of calcium and other minerals in the system that may affect its performance. A red descale warning light will illuminate when the unit requires descaling soon. If the red light flashes, you should descale immediately. Before first use you need to run a cleaning cycle – which should take approximately 10 minutes. For hygiene and safety reasons you should clean your unit on a regular basis.
