He remembers the smell of whiskey on his father’s breath and his mother’s disapproving stares as she looks on. At first I thought I wasn’t going to like it because there were a few moments of immaturity within the dialog but that fortunately didn’t carry throughout the book. She’s just found out her boyfriend Ryan is cheating when she and her cousin Stevie come up with a plan for revenge. Variously seen as a highly autobiographical ‘confessional’ poem and as an extremely loose fictionalised account of Plath’s own relationship to her father (an entomologist and bee-expert who died when Plath was just eight), ‘Daddy’ continues to generate much discussion amongst Plath’s readers and critics.

The story started to lose its momentum at the 40% mark, and I had a hard time giving it my full attention. I’m not into the daddy kink and there was a lot of smut with that, which is why it wasn’t a 5 star read for me, however, if that is your thing might be a 5 star for you. Dang, I'm really bummed right now because I really want more, or at least wish this was a series with another book coming. The mystery plotline was taking forever to solve, so it just felt like we were going in circles and only focusing on the romance portion. While this book was smutty, there was also a great plot with Dax needing to hunt down a demon possessing bodies in Blair’s town.

This book is easy to read: there is a fast-moving plot that keeps you interested, non-stop funny, quick and witty banter, minor/secondary characters that'll make you wish for a whole extra series written for them, and lots of smutty goodness. She’s drawn to him in a way she has never felt for a man before, but it’s clear Dax is so much more than the average man.

She’s been treated like shit for years by her coven and her absent father, and now she’s just discovered that her lame boyfriend is cheating on her with another witch bitch in her own coven! One of Dylan Thomas’s most famous and best-loved poems, ‘Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night’ is a villanelle, a poem divided into three-line stanzas where the same two repeated lines of verse comprise the last line of each alternating stanza. If you’re looking for your next read and you’re in the mood for a mix between Halloween vibes and Daddy kink, please make yourself a favor and pick this book. With a shiny new corporeal body and deep desperation for adventure, Mara is ready to paint the town red. And now, she’s decided to surprise us with a PNR spooky book, with the most incredible daddy kink ever.

I don't know what happened, but the moment this book hit the 80ish% mark, everything felt abrupt/rushed like it was trying to wrap up all the plot in as little words as possible.Plus a sex God, er sex demon I should say, Dax, who is sexy as sin, with his slicked back black hair, green eyes, and ovary exploding dimples. Charming The Devil - Lilith knew her fate upon death, even if her wrong doings were ones rooted in vengeance. One of Sylvia Plath’s most famous poems, ‘Daddy’ controversially links the father in the poem to a Nazi officer, and references the Holocaust. When I started working at Salacious Players’ Club, I never expected to end up on the auction block ready to grant a date to the highest bidder.

They range from poems for fathers to poems about fathers and fatherhood, written by poets about their own experience of being fathers to their children.it was really promising because i like the main character but im one of the few readers here who don’t care much about smut in books at the moment so i was kinda just bored when you take away from the smut. But the film isn’t unsophisticated: for every armpit fart joke demanded by its buddy-movie stylings, there are shades of complexity one would struggle to find in major studio animated fare. Bradstreet (1612-72) was the first poet, male or female, from America to have a book of poems published.
