Description

IMALENT SR32 - This high-performance flashlight features a maximum output of 120,000 Lumens and has a beam distance of up to 2080 meters. A EDC torch like R30C is designed to project a long throwy beam, while R30C has a lower lumen outoup at 8,000 lumens, it has a far better reach distance of 560 meters. Like the MS03, the R30C is powered by a 4,000 mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery and quite compact for a powerful torch. All the magic comes from the six XHP 70.2(2nd gen) Cree LED’s. The XHP 70.2 LED brings a higher lumin density and longer life at high temperatures. One day RDTech will make a bench power supply that can do a stupid amount of current; until then, I’ll just have to scratch my head and be confused.

Imalent’s focus is on affordability and high lumen output. Naturally that means focusing on the internals and functionality more than the looks. In my tests the full recharge took place in just over 6 hours (using a 5V / 3A power supply). Recharging, according to my equipment, is done at approximately 2A max. The results should be taken with a grain of salt since I am using an integrating Lumen tube which is not officially calibrated, so take into account a deviation of +- 10% Initially, I was unable to measure the current in Turbo mode, since the current seems to be above 20Amp. My clamp meter can only measure up to 20 Amp! I have never ever measured such high currents in a flashlight before! Within 60 months after receipt and under normal use, any quality problem with your IMALENT flashlight, you can send it to repair for free; After the test of the Imalent R60C I am pleased to review the little monster of light from Imalent, the IMALENT MS06.Threads came lubed, and are square cut. And to keep water out, there is a single rubber, nicely lubed o-ring. There’s a smooth custom reflector surrounding the emitters; the reflectors on the outside are deeper than the one in the middle, but that gives the outer emitters more throw, and allows the central emitter to flood more to even out the beam. The Imalent MS18 is the world's brightest torch ever with an astonishing 100,000 lumens. It's capable of illuminating a whole village, an entire ship, or a whole football court, you name it. The first torch ever to be named: a portable sun in the palm of my hand. I’ll be using the included Imalent cells, as I don’t have anything else that fits, or at least not three matching cells, anyway. Imalent LED torches push the boundaries of performance; a remarkable journey in constantly challenging the impossible makes them possible. Just over 3 years ago, a torch with a 30,000-lumen output is considered extremely bright, until Imalent introduced its brightest LED torch Imalent MS18 with a staggering 100,000-lumen output, settles the debate of the question: which is the world's brightest torch. Surpassing others by many, the king never dies, until today, Imalent MS18 is still the world's brightest torch. But it's not the end, it is merely the start of a great journey of prophecy. Something is coming because we are not satisfied with just being the best.

IMALENT® LED Flashlight–IMALENT®

Still under the button we find some cooling fins useful to dissipate, in part, the great heat produced by the LEDs at the highest powers. In other words: the XHP 70.2 LED’s, last longer and produce more light for less money. CREE claims on a lumen/dollar ration they are the most cost effective LED on the market. I agree. NOTE: I always use manual camera settings to when reviewing flashlights to prevent exagerated or underexposed images/videos. What you see closely represents what the naked eye actually sees. As previously mentioned, the majority of the grip on the light actually comes from the ‘squares’ of knurling, as the knurling itself is fairly smooth. I don’t see this as being an issue though, as this isn’t a light you’d likely be moving fast with, so grip wouldn’t be as paramount. There’s PWM I can see with my camera, but not with my eyes. So while it’s there, it’s not an issue at all.

A bright LED flashlight like the MS06 is always needed for a variety of applications, and you'd want a reliable flashlight with a certain degree of waterproofing and impact resistance, with a durable aerospace-grade aluminum body with a type 3 anodized finish, MS06 is designed to meet IPX-8 rated waterproof standard and 1.5-meter drop resistance. Made of aerospace aluminum, Imalent torches are rugged and unbreakable, Imalent tactical torches are reliable and ready for whatever comes. Brightness: The brightness of a flashlight is measured in Lumens, which is a unit of measurement for the total amount of light emitted by a source. Powerful flashlights typically have a high Lumen rating, allowing for a bright and clear light beam. As you can see, the MS03 absolutely obliterated my Honda Accord’s headlights(on high beams). The average pair of halogen headlights produce no more 3500 lumens. To the eye I don't see any significant PWM in the available modes. The start of the spill from the walk is adjacent to the feet.

What is it?

Some people have complained about Turbo only working 2-3 times in a row. Only used for a couple of seconds, before the indicator LED turns red. This is not the case with this copy. It can be set to Turbo multiple times without getting the LED indicator to turn red. Based on bench power testing, the red light comes on (solid) at 3.3V, starts flashing around 2.8V, and the light shuts off at 2.7V. That’s perfectly good for the cells. Brigthness levels/runtime are as follows: Level 1 (200 lumens/(30 hours), level 2 (1200 lumens/8 hours), level 3 (2500 lumens/4 hours), level 4 (4000 lumens/2 hours), level 5 (9000 lumens/2 hours) and level 6 (turbo mode/1 minute).

The spacing of the brightness levels is good, although it would have been better if there was a bigger gap between level 4 (4000 lumens) and level 5 (9000 lumens). For example, 4000 lumens and 12000 lumens. There is no oled lumen level indicator built-in, which would have been a neat addition too. The Imalent MS06 flashlight has a smooth brghtness cycle. You only have to hold down the button and the flashlight will automatically cycle between the brightness levels until you release the button. You cannot ramp up to turbo mode, which can only be done manually by double pressing the button when the flashlight is turned on or turned off.We caution not to mix old and new types of batteries, brands or batteries, and so on. It is recommended to use only the original Imalent battery.
