It was something of a comfort read, but the way that the mystery comes together is also very pleasing. It wasn’t just the feeling one usually gets from a police procedural, of walking into a movie in the middle and trying to grasp the plot - in this case, from two dead bodies on a boat, and the subsequent knowledge the firm they headed was about to crash - but, here, with French, I felt as if he was handed a book with blank pages, and told to figure out the entire plot! Although I haven't yet worked through the exercises to open myself up further to channelling my guides, I am already feeling a shift in my energy and consciousness simply from reading the book from cover to cover. The story encompasses changing technologies and economies, rivalry between nations, the rise and fall of empires both political and commercial, momentous events such as the sinking of the Titanic , and the conversion of many liners for use as troopships during World War II, when conditions on board became so appalling that many soldiers died or mutinied.

There were no bailouts and seventy year old people found themselves impoverished, forced to look for work instead of enjoying retirement. Orin, through Sanaya, has created over 200 audio journeys and courses in spiritual growth which are available at www.I sometimes feel there is something wrong with me that I don't get a 'name' or an 'image' or whatnot. Guides will point you in the right direction, bring information in the form of books and people, but you have to be prepared to take action and do the work yourself.

Thinking back on the book at its conclusion, I do not think that there was a single female character in this book. He illuminates the back channels of his profession, and its value in a world that resembles neither the zero-sum Cold War of his early career, nor the ‘unipolar moment’ of American primacy that followed.I had never heard of Freeman Wills Croft until he was mentioned in Jacob's Room is Full of Books: A Year of Reading but he wrote 33 novels between 1920 and 1951, the most famous of which included Scotland Yard detective Inspector French. Whether you all ready channel by way of book suggestions, through creation of the arts, reading tarot, or by asking advice for self or others or you know nothing about it, this book can be eye opening.
